Hi dear backers!
We are going to share some good news with you!
Finally, we assembled the camera PCB into the camera enclosure. Besides our team have tested assembling and run the PFMA stage of mechanical components. Also, prototype failure mode analysis has been done.

We have finished assembling of the base and now we are testing the rotation and mechanism of up-down functions. PFMA also have been done for the base unit. Right now our team is doing a calibration of magnetic levitation.
During last two weeks our software team rocked! We decided to share with you this process in details in order to give you a wider understanding of our application.
We've created SmartPage which will be one of the main pages of the App together with Landing page and Notifications. SmartPage consists of Sensors sub-page which will show Moon embedded sensors (currently they are CO2 / Humidity / Temperature (with the ability to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit) and LUX (Light level in the area)). We decided minimal and maximal steps for filtering the data within Sensors and now there are Day / Week / Month steps. We combined all the charts into one big chart, so our users will be able to see a correlation between different sensors across the particular date.

Another part of SmartPage is section “Devices” where we finalized ZigBee / Z-Wave related pairing processes with the appropriate controls. As a result, our users will be able to pair any ZigBee / Z-Wave device and have the ability to switch it On-Off and control it's level (if the device has such option).

Most of the time was spent to finalize the “Rules” section as it's currently the most sophisticated element of the App. Within “Rules” section we had different ideas regarding the flow of the user, and came up with the following concept: user will be able to create the rule choosing particular Moon, it's embedded sensors, devices which are paired with this Moon (ZigBee / Z-Wave), choose time-frame and action to perform if the triggers resulted.
One important thing is, that we decided to allow user to use the same device as an input and output in the rule, for instance, if device which is paired with the Moon shows some data and at the same time can be turned on-off, we can use its numeric data as an input-trigger for our rule, and at the same time as an output in "actions to perform". So for example, if it is the device which can be turned on-off and at the same time show temperature, we can use temperature as a trigger in our rule, and in the bottom we can use its switch as a result of the action (If the temperature from this ZigBee sensor is lower than 22 then turn it off).

Furtherly we will add many other controls and implementations so the user will be able to choose from various states of the device which one he wants to use as a trigger for the Rule. We will also give the ability to the user to get email-notifications and push-notifications as part of "Action to Perform" section in the “Rule”.
Also, much work has been done about the integration of our current system with Dropbox / Google Drive / OneDrive clouds as well as custom FTP-Servers. We appreciate the privacy of our customers, so in case if somebody wants to have the data stored directly on his own FTP server or Cloud – our user will be able to do it in few clicks. We continue developing work with FTP-Servers and hope to share the final results with you in our next update.

Hi Dear backers!
We wanted to provide another quick update from our most recent achievements! We also wanted to thank all the new backers!
Our team has some news for you, we received the rest of PCBs, but it came out that some components needed additional design to become fully compatible with our processor. This obstacle was not a big one for our software team and thanks to some changes we were able to skip the process of redesigning.
We could not get the driver for the audio codec component we use now, but we found a solution and started driver programming by involving new team members responsible for embedded programming.
Another good news from our team is the design for the Moon Commander application.

Now we are assembling mechanical components step by step with pairing software and hardware. The algorithms that are developed will be tested and improved to get smooth reactions on your command for taking off and 360 degrees rotation.
Wait for our next update after two weeks as agreed!

Hi Moon friends and supporters!
We have a good news for you! Our engineers are making continuous improvements that are being rolled into the product and as a result, final mechanical and electrical parts are already manufactured and are on their way to be assembled then tested for production, as scheduled!

In our last update we announced we will receive final PCBs. Our team is excited to show you some pics of it, as final PCBs are produced and delivered!

Here You can see several PCBs for base and camera units as well as components assembled on PCBs, as we use some flexible connectors for mics location to have sound direction detection. You can see improved mechanical designs manufactured according to parameters of motors and parts we’ve freezed for BOM. There were also some special needs for molding which we had to consider on our way to produce mechanical parts.
Also, in this update, we want to share with you some difficulties regarding our brand.
We have a legal issue with Ring company, which was acquired by Amazon. Despite we have got an approval from USPTO to use Ring in our company name, but all we know how exhausting court proceedings can be, so we decided not to waste our time and resources for that. So, according to their claims, we decided not to enter into litigation, as for us there are other ways to resolve the dispute.
This situation was a very strong motivation for us to start another cool stage for our company and elaborate a full new brand concept with a new company name and vision! For that we are cooperating with an awesome advertising team and will show you the results during our further updates.
These past weeks marked a couple of much-anticipated milestones for the Moon software also! We have finalized a setup version of the app. You can find it in a video below!

Besides, we will have updates for every 2 weeks to bring more transparency into our communication.

Hello to all our friendly Backers.
Here we are with news about product sponsored by You.
As You may know we’ve previously received the PCBs with different alternative flows and components, to find out the best ones based on testings which have been done. After those, we took some more 2-3 weeks and now we will skip the second iteration to it faster, and will send in several days ready files for pre production samples which means that all final decided components will be placed on PCBs with real shapes, and after those will be produced and delivered we will be able to start production based on their results.
For this period we had to improve our audio codecs choice and this brought us to the need to create new driver, so we found specialists who will develop it while the PCBA process will be finished and those will be delivered.
Another good news is that we are now making preparations for tooling process of the mechanical parts to start the set-up of production based on colors and texture choice. This is quite hard and expensive stage, so all the aspects should be considered.
As for software, Teams are providing necessary parts for certification processes, and also fill the UI parts, based on IoT platform we’ve been creating.
We will come back with some good news soon.

Hello to all our great Backers.
Here we are with next update. Things are getting more tangible and here are the results we have:
The testings made by hardware Team showed good results for the designed electronics from the view of efficiency and response time.
Our software Team could activate all the components on the camera unit PCB, so we were able to “read” data from(to) all the sensors and connection types components (WiFi,Bluetooth, Zigbee, Zwave), and according to that process there are some minor re-design needs for power supply management and audio data processing.

The system was also stress tested to get working temperatures change data, so engineering Team now makes final corrections for molds production files, for getting desired components on the PCBs with final shapes, considering above mentioned re-design, ventilation, mountings etc.
We have also tested the samples of the optical system, received from potential suppliers, and now we are looking for getting best proposal according to the parameters we need.
The second package from Hong Kong was lost on its way from 10 May, and even it was Door-to-Door service with tracking option, the forwarder could not say exactly where are those goods, including PCBs produced for base part. The last update we've got by the end of this week, was the information that goods probably were lost in Germany.
Thanks to our Colleagues from Lucidtron company, who kept one for each PCB at their office for different cases, based on their experience, we got some of PCBs from lost package, the ones on the pictures attached, were sent by courier service, hope those will be enough for testings at this stage.


The other good news is that we started procurement process for the SoC, to make prepayments to get lead time for that. This is one of main reasons why we do not make estimations on deliveries because there are many dependencies from big players. By finalizing this step, we will enter production stage, which will mean so much for all of us.
And one more thing, we believe You’ll like, is a video attached. Here You can see how Moon’s light sensor tells to the App that the illumination in the room (lux) is lower than preset level, and although Philips Hue bulb can be also controlled directly by Moon by 1-Ring,the last being a hub, we made the bulb turned on through IFTTT service, which gives You much more opportunities for flows and algorithms in case You've already got smart gadgets.
